Faith’s portrait

February 10, 2014

Hi !

This is what I’ve been working on today (among other things, lol) This is Faith’s portrait. She is a rescued dog at K9 Services German Shepherd Rescue, Inc. (http://www.k-9services.net) She is currently under cancer treatment, responding well =) This drawing is a donation to be raffled among  the persons who have contributed to her treatment during the fundraiser.ImageImageImage

  1. My graphite dog studies do not have a “clean” look to them, just because I do not believe in photo realism ! I love my work to have a fresh, spontaneous look to it, to look like a drawing and not like a B&W photo =)

Marcela your drawings show just how sweet and beautiful Faith really is. Thank You so much for doing this drawing for K-9 Services German Shepherd Rescue. It so heartwarming to know that a community can come together and get the treatments needed to save Faith’s life. Thank You to all of Faith’s supporters and to all of our Rescue Supporters, because without you all, we couldn’t do what we do, and that’s save these poor dogs, that most of society has turned their backs on and dumped to die a painful death or die by the needle at a high kill shelter. Faith is just one of many that need our help, remember to Adopt and help support rescues, Faith is proof, that there are many adoptable dogs just waiting for their forever family and home.

    • Thanks Linda !!!! It was so nice to draw her and to be able to capture that sweet expression. I do hope all that positive energy gets to her to heal fast and to find her forever home really soon
